The first decade of the new millennium is over, and some will say they're grateful it's over. The last few years have seen many people lose their jobs, their homes and even some hope.
As a 10-year webmaster, I've had many friends ask, "What can I do on the Internet to make some extra money?" Some were older folks looking to supplement their retirement income, and other friends had been hurt by the economy or other life circumstances. The truth is, I had no good answer for them. We all know that some "make money" websites on the Internet are scams. Who knows who is behind them? There are probably some good ones, but I don't know them, and don't feel comfortable recommending them to my friends. The websites I make money with require you to have your own website and webmaster skills, which most of my friends do not have.
The only way I could provide a good answer is to develop such a website myself...one that does not require webmaster skills and will help everyday people to make some legitimate, safe money online. Also, it had to be cheap because people who want to make money online obviously don't want to spend much.
I asked myself, "What do my friends have that can be used for generating money online?" I found the answer was "More Friends!" Also, many people can spare $6 per year. And so it is with this combination that I created gain6.com.
Gain6 is a super-simple program, where my friends can sign up to buy a gain6 blog for $6 per year. Then they can invite their friends and family to visit their blog at gain6.com/Username and from there, buy their own blog for $6 per year. Every time someone buys a blog, my program will pay a large portion of the money to the person whose blog they signed up on (33%).
What's more, gain6 pays an additional portion to the person who invited the first person, and the person before her and the person before her… up to 6-tiers of people. So when someone invites a friend, and they invite more friends, we find that the $6 stretches into some really good money for everyone. An example I like to use is this: If you invite 6 friends and they each invite 6 friends, and on for 6 layers of friends, you earn over $33,900.00 - a respectable sum of money for only $6 and 6 friends. Enthusiasts can invite more friends to make more - it's unlimited. Also, gain6 pays you the same money again next year, when people renew their blogs for another year. And people can buy multiple blogs. How many friends will you invite?
I didn't want to skimp on the blogs just because they only cost $6. They turned out to be so much fun! You can post what's happening with you today, follow friends, share photos and create cool flash photo slideshows. It's sort of like Facebook where you can blog what's on your mind today, and Twitter, where you can follow friends.
