My wife and I went to the restaraunt, The Pearl, at Leeward Community College. We had made reservations in the morning, and had lunch around 12:45. In case you didn't know, The Pearl is the restaraunt for the Culinary Arts program at Leeward Community College. The service was outstanding. The food was outstanding too.
We had both ordered a starter, an entree, and shared a dessert. The salads were awesome. They were only $5.95, but were prepared like you would find in a $20 dollar a salad restaraunt. My wife had the Ahi salad which was good, and I had the one with Beef in it. The Beef and Ahi were prepared perfectly.
After our Starter dish, we had our main dish brought out. The main dishes there only go for $13.95 or $14.95. In my opinion, based upon presentation and ingredients, it would be the same as you would find in a $40+ plate restaraunt.
Our meal was topped off with a dessert, it was a Bananas Foster with some ice cream in the middle and fried cinnamon lumpias. Wow, amazing dessert!
In my opinion, this restaraunt is a great place to eat. But, they are only open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for lunch, so make sure you get in there and taste some of the students wonderful culinary cuisine.
