Google is trying out a new spider indexing method called "Caffeine". To make a long story short, it will value sites that are updated regularly like facebook, twitter and blogs. The goal is to make the search results more "current". This may give some SEO experts a run for their money until they see how it is going to work. It could also shake up the search results for the sites that have spent a long time at the top.
I am trying to get a jump on the game by creating 2 new blogs that are companion blogs to my main money-making sites. I am offering helpful hints at the bottom of the websites in blog form, then posting them on the blogs themselves. I will only keep 5 or so posts on the websites, then let the blogs archive them so I will not be filling the main websites up with posts and all sites will have fresh content.
You can check out my efforts. The main site (for 1) os http://buildfree.org and the companion blog is http://buildfree.blogspot.com. The other main site is http://free-templates.org and the companion blog is http://freetemplatetips.blogspot.com.
This seems like a reasonable attempt at keeping up with the changes (at no cost). Your input is welcome.
